TOTO Toilets Help Consumers Navigate the New Normal

The COVID-19 global pandemic brought an unpredictability to people's lives. TOTO is leveraging its technology to help people navigate this New Normal.

Kaisen, or "perfection" is a social concept that is the driving force behind the Japanese company Toto. Their newest toilet, the WELLNESS TOILET is equipped with cutting-edge sensing technologies to support consumer health.

Water Sense Technology

Affiliated with the EPA, WaterSense labeled plumbing fixtures help conserve water and energy while delivering security and reliability. TOTO USA is proud to be one of the first companies to be awarded the WaterSense label for our EcoPower flush valves as well as commercial flushometer toilets.

Our Aquia IV dual-flush toilet is an excellent example of a high-efficiency bathroom fixture. It uses only 1.28 Gallons of water per flush. This is less than 1.6 gallons required to meet EPA standards. The Aquia IV also features TOTO TORNADO FLUSH technology, which reduces the frequency of cleaning bowls and the necessity for additional flushes, further reducing its environmental footprint.

Installing a low-flowing showerhead will reduce the amount of water that you use when bathing or washing. Our high-efficiency showerheads are WaterSense certified and come with the most advanced technology to ensure top performance and ease of use.

In the world where water shortages can be common, limiting the amount of water used is important. TOTO's EcoPower Technology, found in the Aquia IV and NEXUS toilets, helps to reduce water usage by using only 1.28 gallons of water for each flush.

TOTO's elongated WCs are EPA certified for high efficiency. They feature a round or elongated bowl with an accessible height of 17-19 inches. We also offer an elongated toilet with a compact design that is ideal for small spaces and uses just 0.9 gallons per flush.

TOTO's toilets are the most sought-after in the market for both home and business use. They're not only more affordable than toilet paper, but they also provide a better clean and leave you feeling confident and refreshed. The NEXUS Bidet is made using our EWATER+ Technology, which is produced by electrolyzing tap water into the form of a solution containing sodium chloride ions. This results in an effective disinfectant that kills viruses, bacteria and other pathogens while leaving your skin and the environment unaffected.

ADA Compliant

You can find the terms "ADA compliant" and "universal height" however, not all toilets with universal height are ADA-compliant.

The ADA standards, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, are designed to accommodate people of all ages and abilities. This includes those with limited mobility and lower body strength. Toto incorporates these standards into its products to ensure that their customers get the bathroom experience they want with ease of use.

TOTO's ADA compliant toilets feature one-piece designs that instantly enhance the look of your bathroom, while also providing a practical advantage over traditional two-piece models. TOTO's one piece designs simplify cleaning by removing the gap between the bowl and tank. TOTO's Eco UltraMax toilets also feature an efficient flushing system that uses less water. These toilets are water efficient and require less than 1.28 gallons of water per flush.

One-Piece and Two Piece Designs

The museum also displays the history of TOTO's innovation, from the first flush to the aeration system that reduces waste by up to 90 percent and uses less water than traditional toilets. There's also an area that includes the company's Washlet that uses a jet of water to clean and dry the user, while making the toilet sound less embarrassing by using the sound of birds chirping.
